Rajah Island provides a wide variety of staying options ranging from Single rooms to Water front cottages. You can choose from Coconut Hut, River View, Lotus or the Mangrove. In Rajah Island, the concept of Panchabhoothas symbolizes the 10 treatment rooms. These rooms form a part of the treatment complex that is situated away from the Cottages.

Highlights

The Centre has facilities for various Ayurvedic treatments, steam rooms, dining room as well as outdoor facilities like a swimming pool, meditation / yoga, reading room, gym, a jogging track etc.

Swimming Pool

Rajah Island has an open swimming pool. The water is crystal clear & the pool is well maintained under hygienic conditions.

Walking Path

Walk around the island on our walking path and see migrating birds. the surrounding waters are breeding ground for fishes, shrimps, prawns, crabs and shell fish. You could also catch the occasional fisherman casting his net for his daily catch.

Childrens Play Area

The play area is well maintained and safe with swings and other small rides. Children also enjoy wandering around the premises and seeing the sights and sounds around the island.

Activities

Although an Ayurveda cure is generally characterized by rest, relaxation and regeneration, you still do have ample opportunities to get to know life by the backwaters.

Cookery demonstration

We conduct Ayurvedic cooking demonstration,to give patients a better idea about Indian culinary and healthy food.

Library

We have a library with a collection of books from different languages, magazines and medical books. Books are mainly - Fiction, Philosophy, Yoga, Ayurveda and Cookery.

Recreation

Caroms, Chess, Cards, Bicycles, Hammocks, Fishing rods and hooks are available in Rajah Island.

Cultural Evenings

We occasionally conduct Kathakali, Kalaripayattu, South Indian Classical dance and Classical Music Concert.

Henna

Sessions of Henna / Mehndi is held occasionally. Mehndi is the traditional art of decorating the hands, feet or body with designs using a paste made from the powdered, dried leaves of the henna plant (Botanical name : Lawsonia inermis). It stains a usually cherry-red to brown color, but this can vary with time left on and a range of other factors.

Saree Wearing Classes

For our female guests we conduct saree wearing classes. The Saree is a South Asian garment worn by females that consists of a drape varying from five to nine yards(4.57 meters to 8.23 meters) in length and two to four(60cm to 1.20 meter) in breadth. The Saree is typically wrapped around the waist at one end and draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff.

Boating

Boating trips in small canoes or boats can be arranged around the Island.
